What is Body Imaging?

Body imaging involves xray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT and MRI imaging of the abdomen and pelvis. It allows for the detection of a diverse array of diseases and conditions affecting organs and tissues in these regions. Additionally, it plays a role in identifying subtle imaging findings that may serve as indicators of larger disease processes. Our body imaging specialists collaborate with other physicians on a daily basis and are present at numerous tumor boards discussing new or complex cancer cases to ensure accurate diagnosis and optimal treatment.
