"Florida Radiology Consultants has been involved in lung cancer screening since 2015. Since this time our lung cancer screening program has grown enormously with tremendous benefits to patients at high-risk for lung cancer. As the program has evolved, we have implemented a multidisciplinary conference to guide appropriate care for our patients. Included in the lung cancer screening is smoking cessation, which is a substantial benefit to our patient’s wellbeing.We have recently implemented an incidental lung nodule program to track lung nodules found on imaging exams and assure patients get the appropriate work up. As the director of chest imaging, it has been incredibly fulfilling to take on this role to help improve the health of patients in our community."

Low Dose CT for Lung Cancer Screening

We offer a customized low dose CT chest for lung cancer screening for adults aged 50 to 80 years who have a 20 pack-year smoking history and currently smoke or have quit within the past 15 years. It can provide insight into whether you have lung nodules or evidence of lung cancer. Lung cancer, if caught early can be highly curable.
