Precision in Neurological Imaging

Understanding Neuroradiology

The Neuroradiology Section offers comprehensive diagnostic imaging of the brain, the spine and spinal cord, and of the head and neck region using modern x-ray, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment. State-of-the-art imaging techniques are used to minimize radiation exposure and improve efficiency while maintaining high image quality.

Our neuroradiologists provide concise, detailed interpretations that assist neurologists, neurosurgeons, ear nose and throat surgeons, and other healthcare professionals manage patients with a wide range of disorders such as acute stroke, dementia, metastatic and primary brain tumors, head and neck tumors, or simply low back pain.

“Healthcare is unnecessarily complicated. Our goal is to provide high quality care simply and effectively.”

Specialized Examinations

In addition to our standard neuroradiology services, we offer specialized examinations that provide detailed assessments for specific brain, spine, and nervous system conditions. These advanced techniques deliver precise insights that enable doctors to make accurate diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans.

CT Parathyroid Adenoma Study for Primary Hyperparathyroidism

CT Parathyroid Adenoma Study for Primary Hyperparathyroidism

This specialized CT scan targets the detection of parathyroid adenomas, a common cause of primary hyperparathyroidism. By utilizing high-resolution imaging, we can accurately locate adenomas, facilitating targeted treatment plans that enhance patient outcomes.

Imaging of Sensory-Neural Hearing Loss - CT and MRI IAC

Our imaging services for sensory-neural hearing loss include both CT and MRI of the internal auditory canal (IAC). These techniques provide comprehensive assessments of the auditory structures, helping to identify the causes of hearing loss. CT scans offer detailed images of the bone structures, while MRI IAC focuses on the soft tissues, including nerves and vessels. This combined approach ensures precise diagnosis and guides effective treatment plans to preserve or restore auditory function.

CT Angiography (CTA) and CT Perfusion (CTP) for Acute Stroke Diagnosis

Our advanced CTA and CTP imaging services are critical for the rapid diagnosis and treatment of acute stroke. CT Angiography provides detailed images of blood vessels in the brain, helping to identify blockages or abnormalities. CT Perfusion assesses blood flow and brain tissue viability, providing crucial information on the extent of the stroke and areas at risk. Together, these techniques enable precise and timely treatment decisions, improving outcomes for stroke patients.

MRI Head Perfusion Study to Evaluate for Tumor Recurrence or Post-Treatment Changes (Radiation Necrosis)

This MRI technique is critical for differentiating between tumor recurrence and changes due to treatment, such as radiation necrosis. It provides vital information that impacts therapeutic decisions, enhancing the care continuum for patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Imaging of Dementia - MRI, PET-CT & Monoclonal Antibody Treatment

Our comprehensive imaging services for dementia include MRI, PET-CT, and post-monoclonal antibody treatment assessments. MRI provides detailed images of brain structures, while PET-CT scans assess brain metabolism and amyloid plaques, key indicators of Alzheimer’s disease. After monoclonal antibody treatments, our imaging evaluates the brain’s response to therapy. This integrated approach ensures accurate diagnosis and effective management of dementia, improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

What they’re saying about us

Radiology Patient Testimonials

"My doctor and all nurses on team were excellent in showing and giving care and worked very well as a team. One nurse even wheeled me out herself to be picked up when waiting for regular transporters to come. The positive environment at Health Park helped me to relax and feel comfortable before and after surgery. Thank you for the kindness and encouragement your staff provided me."
